Importing pixmap image files is similar to importing text, except that empty image frames are shown with two diagonal lines running across them in an X. First, create an image frame in the document by choosing Insert Image Frame (keyboard shortcut I). The Scribus toolbar has an icon button for this function, which depicts a small square landscape picture; it s just to the right of the document icon button used for inserting text frames. When your image frame has been dragged out to the correct size and is in position, it s time to locate the image file that you want to place in the document.
