It is a good practice to close service proxies whenever the client is finished using them. One of the main reasons for doing so is that when a session has been established between the client and the service, closing the proxy not only closes the connection to the service but also terminates the session with the service. The importance of this will become clearer when sessions are covered in 10, Sessions and Instancing. Instead of calling the Close method explicitly, you can also use the Dispose method, which will close the proxy as well. Pass the InstanceContext object to the constructor of the proxy class. The proxy class must inherit from DuplexClientBase instead of from ClientBase. Typically, the easiest way to handle this is to wrap the autogenerated proxy with another class that deals with the InstanceContext details and acts as the callback object (implementing the Callback contract). Pay close attention to the base type of your proxy classes. If you are defining a proxy that uses OneWay or Request/Response MEPs, the right base class is ClientBase<IMyContract>, where IMyContract is your Service contract. If your proxy uses the Duplex MEP, the proxy class must inherit from DuplexClientBase<IMyContract>.
