3 Now that you ve spent some time learning more about EMS in Exchange 2010, let s take a look at something tangible that you can do with it: add contact pictures to your users in the Global Address List (GAL). The Import-RecipientDataProperty cmdlet is a little gem that s been added to Exchange 2010. You can use this cmdlet to import an audio file or picture for a recipient. If present, these data are made available through the GAL, the reading pane, contact details, and other places in Microsoft Outlook 2010 that support these properties. The audio file is intended to contain the spoken name of a recipient so that you know how to pronounce it, and the picture is obviously to allow you to know what the recipient looks like. To restrict the impact on Active Directory, an audio file is limited to 25 KB and a picture file to 10 KB. Here s an example of how to import a photo for a recipient (mailbox, distribution group, or contact).
